Born in Bogota, Colombia, one of the richest countries in the world with music culture, Andrés Velilla has been surrounded by music all his life. At the age of 14 Andrés moved with his family to Miami, where he discovered other types of music such as hip hop, RnB and what became his passion, electronic music. Falling in love with electronic music, Andrés rapidly decided to buy his first turn tables and started to experiment mixing with Trance music.

By going at least once a week to the famous club Shadow Lounge in South Beach, where George Acosta was the resident influenced Andrés a lot. Other big international DJs like Taucher, Talla 2XLC, BT, and many more went there to drop their Trance beats that also proved to be influential. But it wasn't until Andrés moved to Paris that he discovered House Music. Slowly but surely, he transcended from mixing trance to house and its sub-genres.

In 2003 Andrés moved to Montreal, Canada to study at Concordia University, earning a degree in Psychology, with a cluster in Marketing. While studying, he continued DJ-ing around Montreal in places such as Stereo Afterhours, Circus Afterhours, Tribe, Buonanotte, Laika, Kafein and many more, slowly becoming one of Montreal’s underground House DJs to look for.

In 2009 he was offered a monthly residency at Montreal's most prestige underground club, Le Salon Daome ( where he invited his promoter friends of NoiseFloor to be part of his monthly installment. You can find Andrés playing once a month at his residency Le Salon Daome in Montreal the 4th Thursday of every month and listen to his radio show "Escape Into The Abyss" on the 4th Saturday of every month from 20h to 22h London time.

During his senior year at Concordia University, Andrés decided to broaden his education by studying sound design and audio technology at Musitechnic ( in Montreal. This gave him the tools to produce electronic music, become a sound designer, sound engineer and multi-track mixing. You can find some of his releaseas under Mile End Records and Soloman's Forest Records. © 2018 All rights reserved.
